Our Wireless Business Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of wireless communications solutions, including CDMA2000, GSM/EDGE, and is quickly enhancing its market position in WCDMA/HSPA networks. Currently, the Wireless Business Group has an opportunity for a Tech Introduction Support or LTE Trials/FOA Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting end to end Trial of LTE products, either directly or using appropriate teams and resources. Working internally in the LTE organization the Trials Engineer will work closely with the Product, R&D, Release Program Management and Project Management. Externally the Trials Engineer will work closely with the Trial Project Manager, Services Business Group as well as the Customer and Customer Team.
In addition, the Trials Execution Engineer will support the following activities:
• End-to-end validation of the functionality of the LTE core network, including the ePC, IMS, OA&M, eNodeB, Transport, and CDMA RAN operations platform.
• Developing and executing validation plans to verify our LTE product meets system requirements and customer expectations in a live customer environment.
• Configuration of network components, system command execution and drive testing for air interface verification.
• Ensure reported problems are recorded appropriately (e.g. CARES) and are handled with the correct priority within the whole organization.
• Participate in customer (internal-external) project meetings and report to senior management about the status of the projects
• Act as principle interface between the customer, the project team and any internal/external partners participating in the project.
• A significant amount of travel is required (60% - 70%)
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar related discipline.
• RF and/or IP/Core Experience.
• Minimum of 5 years Telecom experience in a customer facing, trials or deployment role.
• Strong planning, organizing, decision making capability.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
