Responsibilities:
Manage outsourced partner to meet or exceed agreed network KPIs.
Managed outsourced partners to deliver the different network transformation programs
Contribute to definition coverage strategy and manage its implementation
Conduct and coordinate Optimization & Design Review forums with outsourced Partner
Investigate different technical and commercial solutions to increase network performance and competitiveness.
Develop antenna strategy.
Develop the Microcell/Indoor Systems & Repeater Strategy.
Investigate new more effective 3G RF and RRM Optimization Techniques.
The evaluation of new wireless technologies in the industry and determine the technical and business benefits for the organization.
Prepare business cases for selected new technologies and initiate technical trials.
Review and influence 3G UTRAN vendor feature roadmap.
Develop deployment strategy for new 3G features.
Contribute, manage and develop financial budgets and forecasts.
Manage relationship with commercial business to help with understanding of the network and gains through network consolidation.
MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE:
some of the following: RF Testing, W-CDMA , UMTS
Knowledge working in a principal engineer roles
Planning tool software e.g. Odyssey, Enterprise, Planet
GIS tools e.g. MapInfo
UMTS radio planning & optimization
RRM Optimization and Strategy
Specialist coverage enhancement such as RF repeaters, mobile cells
Link budgets
UMTS System hardware
RF Field trials of hardware and software
