Install, test and integrate RX-AIT (Receiver Air Interface Tray)
Verify t1 cable cable path, install RJ45 connectors and loopback, test with
transport.Complete NTP document and submit to NCS along with sweeps and

sweep data form
Method of Procedure
1. Log in to OSS bridge upon arrival, document name of analyst on bridge
2. Capture pre photos and document any defects on site prior to arrival
3. Assemble and install trapeze
Trapeze support is required within 18" of hardline termination and 3' span
max thereafter.
4. Replace blank panels on AUX2 cabinet with power entry panels.
Port panel with 1 nine port entry and 3 single will face the RRU pole. The
port entry panel with 4 nine port blocks will face the hardline/GSM route.
5. Install RX-AIT units in 19" rack if not pre-installed.
6. Install power lugs on RMC units and terminate to -48vdc buss on
designated location. Breakers are pre-labeled, lugs to be provided in
install kit.
7. Install RX-AIT internal RF cabling on front of RX-AIT equipment as per
RX-AIT drawing.
8. Install alarm cable and run to 66 block in AUX2 cabinet.
9. Color code jumpers per RX-AIT drawing. Color code provided in RX-AIT
drawing.
10. Install jumpers from GSM to RX-AIT in Aux2 cabinet.
11. Install jumpers from RX-AIT to UMTS RRU rack. Length of jumpers will be
measured from center ring of RRU pole. Refer to RRU cad drawing.
12.Install jumpers from RX-AIT to hardlines. Refer to RX-AIT drawing.
13. Call OSS bridge and request sector block. When the sector is confirmed
to be down, unhook jumper from GSM and perform pre-sweep.
14. Unhook GSM jumper from top of base station and install new jumper path.
15. Perform system sweep on newly installed jumpers. -15.5 return loss
across usable band is passing.
Failing sweeps on hardline will require putting a precision load at the end
of the jumper at the hardline and saving sweep. Civil vendor will perform
repair.
16. Request OSS to perform a TRX test on sector to determine if all
amplifiers are functioning normally.
GSM sites with no TMA and no RX-AIT will read app. -112 for main and -112
for diversity.
GSM sites with TMA and no RX-AIT will read app. -106 for main and -106 for
diversity.
GSM sites with TMA and RX-AIT will read app. -100 for main and -100 for
diversity.
These values are accurate for determining RX sensitivity within 3dbm.
17. Repeat step 9-12 for remaining sectors.
18. Weatherproof lines at hardline.
19. Install cable entry boots or Rox Blox as per market standard.
All RF cables entering outdoor cabinet will be installed with drip loop.
All RF cables must be labeled with color code tape as they enter the
outdoor cabinets.
20. Install RJ45 connectors on pre-ran 25 pair cable. Follow standard 25
pair color code.
21 Install loopback on RJ45 connectors in AUX2 cabinet.
22.Once path to NIU is established, contact transport personnel and test
signal to the newly installed loop.
23. Capture photos of work and any defects, issues, or red flags.
24. Log out of site with OSS and record name of analyst.
