Presales Engineer – Start up Systems Vendor – Service Delivery / CEM Solutions – Suitable for UMTS RF Optimisation Engineer – UK, EMEA Travel
This is an excellent and rare opportunity for a Radio Networking Professional (UMTS RF Planning/Optimisation) with presales or strong customer facing consulting experience to join an innovative start-up technology vendor who is leading the way in developing and deploying comprehensive Service Delivery, CEM and Customer Care Solutions. Their technology is new and unique and is complimentary to existing CEM and probe based technologies and as such they are experiencing a lot of demand and interest from the tier 1 Mobile Operators. A growing Global customer base and recent big ticket customer successes in The US and EMEA have facilitated the need to further grow their EMEA Sales team.
The Presales Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Sales team throughout the sales lifecycle; delivering product demonstrations and presentations, managing RFI/RFP’s, manage trials/PoC’s, capturing requirements/pain points and feed into Product Groups, liaising with Engineers up to C level Management etc. The role carries considerable autonomy and therefore the successful candidate must be self motivated and be able to use own initiative.
The successful candidate must have;
• Proven track record in providing technical sales support or customer facing consultancy services to mobile Operators in EMEA
• Very Good current understanding of RF relating to GSM, GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA etc. i.e. should understand layer 3 messaging to some degree as the role will require dealing with RF engineers
• Good understanding of mobile telecoms infrastructure and ability to talk knowledgably on topics of current interest
• Ability to interact professionally and knowledgably with customers and partners
• Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
• Self starter, able to seize the initiative. Resourceful with a sense of ownership This is a start up environment so a can-do attitude and willingness to do what needs to be done is essential
• Prepared to travel throughout EMEA
