Title: 3G Radio Access Network Engineer
Location: Irving, TX and Seattle, WA

Type: Contract

Scope of Work:

Provide Engineering support for 3G radio sub system during RAN deployment, Care Projects, FOA and LAB Support along with CIT / Helpdesk function during Care phase and Operation support. Key tasks of the job as

1. Commissioning, integrating, System verification & acceptance and troubleshooting for 3G ex-Nokia Network Element. Develop and maintain 3G RNC and NodeB project competence, process, and documents for network deployment.
2. Provide Project technical support for troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalations from project and overall responsible for the 3G RAN ( RNC and NodeB ) network element technical Issue handling.
3. Worked as Technical HelpDesk function including 24/7 emergency on-call support on demand basis. Carry responsibility of Technical Analysist & Technical contact Point, Case Manager. Understand and work to achieve ECC trouble ticket performance. Coordinate actions and investigation of technical Issues between Customer, regional care management, tier2/tier3/ Product Line support teams.
4. Organize and participate in pilot, FOA, SW/ CD deployment, Software and new feature verification, MOP generation as well as test case creation- execution.
5. Provide support to customers for operations and maintenance of RAN Network elements including competence transfer to customers operations teams for local and remote operations and maintenance tasks.
6. Serve as local customer interface and coordinate communication for services and issues between customer market teams and NSN service lines.
7. Supports operations services such as traffic rehomes, network retunes, feature activations, network modification and Performance analysis.
8. Support Customer Lab for SW/ HW New Feature verification and validation.
9. Ensure quality customer satisfaction survey targets and carry end to end RAN support function 10. Work as Project Support Engineer for atomization of the process and improve in efficiency & execution of the task''

Required Competencies and Skills:

• 4+ years experience in Project, technical support and Equipment implementation for 3G radio network controller elements ( RNC, NodeB ) in wireless communications networks, including understanding of Circuit Switch and Packet Switch Core network elements. Preference will be given to candidates that already have experience on NSN radio equipment.
• Has excellent IP, Unix experience and skills set.
• Understanding of network interface protocols, protocol analyzers and network specifications. Can independently use Network analyzer and other tools to troubleshoot technical problem
• Understanding of wireless network implementation and operations services.

Education & Experience or Other Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Technology
