Our Wireless Business Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of wireless communications solutions, including CDMA2000 and GSM/EDGE, and is quickly enhancing its market position in WCDMA/HSPA and LTE networks. Currently, the Wireless Business Group has an opportunity for an RF Design Engineer to join the Wireless Networks Product Division to be part of a team developing exciting next-generation base station products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Delivering complete RF solutions from concept to testing
• Development of RF transceivers and amplifiers for wireless base stations in the 450 – 2.6 GHz range.
• Design of circuits using conventional IF, direct conversion, and the use of controlled impedance, microstrip and stripline techniques.
• Working closely with CAD and layout teams for product board layout
• Evaluation and characterization of RF designs in the laboratory
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years experience in the design and layout of microwave receiver/transmitters and high power/high efficiency power amplifiers.
• Extensive knowledge of modern transceiver and amplifier architecture alternatives and techniques, such as conventional IF, direct conversion, Doherty amplifiers, etc.
• Experience in A/D and D/A conversion and digital up/down conversion
• Knowledge of the supply chain process to acquire electrical components, PC boards and mechanical housings to meet schedule needs.
• Excellent planning, organizing, decision making, and team coordination skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in team environment.
