Job Overview:
RF Engineer (III) level contractor to be part of the National Technical Team's Network Performance group. This position will provide technical expertise, planning and strategic
decision making surrounding performance initiatives of Client's Network Vision project.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and communication of equipment configuration located at the cell site, ensuring adherence to standards, codes and best practices as established by corporate, municipal and
national guidelines, evaluates existing and proposed AC and DC power and HVAC requirements and providing solutions based on experience and sound judgment, conducting
analysis and providing recommendations/decisions related to equipment affecting modifications to the cell sites, providing recommendations/decisions on installation of
additional equipment and collocation feasibility, determining needed equipment and quantities and ordering equipment and services that ensure proper delivery and installation.
The Performance Engineer will ensure successful execution on customer deliverables on projects related to Network Vision.
Overseeing RF Engineering performance requirements for Network Vision
Developing processes to accommodate reviewing Network Vision OEM designs and providing feedback to Client
Partnering with the local RF Engineering teams responsible for the review of Network Vision implementation and optimization as well as coordinating feedback to Client.
Partnering with the local RF Engineering teams to develop and coordinate optimization activities on the Network Vision Network
Understanding of the OEM design architecture and base station equipment.
Ensuring high quality and consistency of deliverables from their workgroups to the customer
Providing subject matter expertise on new technologies, new tools, new resources and new equipment
Developing solid working relationships with internal organizations in order to facilitate getting work done effectively.
Offering timely and regular communication with all key stake holders as key issues arise or new technologies or features become available for implementation.
Following up on the delivered products and solutions on an agreed regular basis with the customer to keep informed about the life cycle evolvement of the implemented customer solution.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Excel Macros, and other performance data analysis tools.
This individual will work closely with the national and local RF teams to develop proper strategies on delivering the process and procedures that comply will all customer requirements.
The candidate will also have a good understanding of our business and strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to maintain effective working relationships with peers, the customer and external vendors.
Project Management, coordination and tracking skills are a must.
This position will report to Performance Manager under the Core National Technical team.
B.S. degree in engineering (IT or Telecom) or the equivalent theoretical background acquired through experience.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication skills.
At least 3 years of relevant experience with emphasis in optimizing wireless networks.
Ability to trouble shoot Customer networks' performance and provide feedback on the viability of the solutions
WiMax/LTE, 4G experience/knowledge preferred
