Our Wireless Business Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of wireless communications solutions, including CDMA2000 and GSM/EDGE, and is quickly enhancing its market position in WCDMA/HSPA and LTE networks. Currently, the Wireless Business Group has an opportunity for an Radio Access Performance Engineer to join our team.


The successful candidate will work internally in the System Engineering organization on technology trials, performance studies, and lab evaluation with focus on air interface algorithm performance. The candidate will also work closely with Trial teams, Services Teams and other Systems Engineering/Performance teams. The Engineer will work with customers and customer teams to plan, execute and present performance study results.

Radio Access Performance Engineer will support the following activities:
• Support the definition of field and lab test plans related to the air interface
• Provide in depth analysis of field and lab performance data with goals of characterizing performance for presentation to customers, base lining performance for internals assessment, and optimizing performance
• Plan and execute testing in lab environment aimed at base-lining, optimizing, and troubleshooting air interface.
• Participate in customer (internal-external) readouts. Present study results to customer.
• Author customer and internal reports and presentations
• Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in, Electrical Engineering, or similar related discipline.
• Digital Communications background with knowledge of LTE and CDMA. Minimum two years experience related to CDMA/LTE air interface
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required for in depth performance assessment.
• Strong analytical background and demonstrated experience working in a lab environment.
• Previous Technical Team Leadership experience in a customer facing, trials or deployment role
• Excellent planning, organizing, decision making, and team coordination skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in team environment
• Travel up to 20% of time is required
