The assignments are in Vancouver BC, Toronto ON, Montreal, Edmonton & Calgary. Solid RF Network Planning experience in UMTS or WiMax is must. Planet EV experience is preferred. Local market knowledge is a plus point.

We are currently working with a leading telecom operator based in Kuwait who due to continued growth/expansion is looking for radio 2G/3G Consultants to join their team. 


As the successful 2G/3G RADIO engineer, you will require an excellent knowledge of the radio environment. You are corresponding to one of the following profiles: 

- Role 1: Team Leader, Radio Network Quality: manage the team responsible for collecting network quality measurements on routine basis that includes Radio/BSS/RAN, network quality and performance study, monitoring and evaluation, against changes made in the network and detail reporting. 

- Role 2: Manager, BSS/RAN: Manage the teams responsible for the maintenance activities and technical support of the 2G and 3G Cell sites, Transmission Microwave, RXI and Power. Maintain and monitor network performance to ensure uninterruptible service and excellent quality are maintained. 
-.Role 3: Principal Telecommunication Engineer, Radio Planning and Optimization : Provide technical expertise to the Radio Network Planning functions in order to provide our client with an effective radio interface that best meets the technical requirements and customer expectations. 
- Role 4: Senior Telecommunication Engineer, Radio Network Quality: Collect network quality measurements on routine basis that includes Radio/BSS/RAN, network quality and performance study, monitoring and evaluation, against changes made in the network and detail reporting. Organizing and coordinating scheduled tests and specific cases for Network elements, features and products. 




- Role 5: Supervisor, Radio Network Quality: Supervises the Radio Network Quality team to develop and maintain a high level of KPI and quality of service.

Radio Planning and Optimisation Specialist UMTS / 3G - Mobile Operator - Berkshire UK - Permanent (must be eligable to work in UK)

Radio Planning and Radio Optimisation Specialist required with strong UMTS / 3G radio planning experience using one (of Enterprise, Asset, or NetAct) and strong Air Interface Optimisation of UMTS Radio Networks (antenna system changes & cell level parameters) and the observation of network counters to understand the RAN performance is required by world leading mobile operator in Berkshire. 

You will also have experience of the implementation and management of complex technical projects in a network operator environment, and reporting skills in MS Office for senior management. Other ideal skills would include knowledge of 3GPP specifications and knowledge of GIS software such as MapInfo or ArcGIs. 

This key role will be working in the radio performance team and will involve reviewing and approving radio planning by the outsourced partners and driving changes in the guidelines when necessary. You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving radio optimisation proposals and managing the cluster optimisation programme which is been implemented by the outsourced partners. Other aspects will also be working closely with the radio strategy team on the long term evolution of the radio network architecture, and working closely with the radio design, capacity, and core network teams, and contributing, managing and developing financial budgets and forecasts and reporting on the network consolidation to other technical and non tech teams.
