There is a requirement for a 2G/3G RF Planning & Optimisation Engineer. You must be proficient and experienced within this area! Senior & TL roles. 

As a 2G/3G Radio network planning and optimization engineer, you will be responsible for providing planning and optimisation services to customer teams and projects across different regions from Australia. 

Responsibility:- 

Dimensioning of 2G BSS network (number of TRX, BTS, BSC) and 3G RAN network (number of channels Node-B's, RNC) according to the coverage, capacity and quality requirements from the operator. 
Coverage and capacity planning RF planning tool (NetAct Planner) similar to Asset or Planet 
Validating the site configuration in the field during the technical site survey visit and preparing the Technical Site Survey report. 
Pre launch optimisation and network acceptance activities through drive test measurement and or OSS measurement. 
Defining Key Performance Indicators using RAN counters. 
Defining RAN default parameters according to model sites. 
Defining main alarms to be monitored regarding the indicators to be improved. 
Defining and monitoring parameter consistency check rules in order to Maintain BSS/RAN parameter database consistent internally and implemented according to the BSS/RAN default parameters and BSS/RAN planned specific parameters. 
Defining and monitoring KPIs reports on network, area and RAN level. 
Defining and monitoring "worst objects" reports at BTS level. 
Analyzing and troubleshooting "worst objects" reports by recommending software changes, hardware changes or alerting O&M in case of hardware problem. 
Analyzing drive test measurements to detect eventual problems and recommend changes to fix those problems. 
Multi-vendors radio network optimisation, Customer experience and end to end QoS planning and reporting 
Ideally you will possess:- 

Approximately 5-7 years experience in RF Planning & Optimization for both 2G & 3G 
BSc (MSc) in Telecommunications / Electronics Engineering 
Fluency in English 
Deep Knowledge and practice of 2G/3G planning and optimization processes 
Deep Knowledge and practice of 2G /3G RF Planning tool (NetAct Planner or equivalent) 
Knowledge of link budge paramaters 
Deep Knowledge and practice of drive test measurement/analysis tool (TEMS, NEMO, or equivalent) 
Deep Knowledge and practice of MAPINFO 
Deep knowledge and practice of Nokia RAN parameters and counters 
Deep Knowledge and practice of OSS, RAN tools: Configuration Management, Performance Management, Fault Management related e.g. PlanEditor, Radio Access Configuration tools, Optimizer, Reporter

Must have hands on experience in operating test equipment such Agilent 8960, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope. Job Description RF Software customer engineering team has an immediate opening for a support engineer. This group works with customers and the development team to resolve customer software issues. This role supports the breadth of RF driver for a handset. A strong technical background with 1-2 years experience with 1X and EVDO handset testing is desired. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have a strong work ethic, commitment to accuracy and the ability to work to deadlines in a team oriented environment. Additional responsibilities include coordinating service and preventive maintenance with equipment group and others. 



Job Responsibilities 

Specific duties may include: 

-Supporting testing, debug and rework of customer and Qualcomm hardware and software 

-Maintaining a clean and organized lab environment. Maintaining calibration of automated test stations, and keeping supplies stocked 

-Site coordinator for lab 

-Coordinating equipment ordering, calibration and maintenance 

-Coordinating IT and facilities repair requests for the lab spaces 

-Coordinating customer visits to the labs. 

-Interfacing with engineering and test departments in support of debug and testing efforts.
