Position: 3G RF Planning and Optimization Engineer
Locaition: Kenya
Job Description:
Primary Area of Expertise: 3G RF optimization & planning
Secondary Area of Expertise: 3G RND, 2G RND/Optimization
· Very good Radio planning knowledge.
· Extensive knowledge on Mapinfo/TCPU; e.g.. Creating clusters and
drive routes.
· Prepare Low Level Design report and able to answer customer
questions on related issues.
· Some Winfiol or moshell experience to extract network data relating
to RF Planning, e.g. IRAT parameters and Channel Element Utilisation
to cater for expansion.
· Link budget analysis.
· Good understanding of 3G and HSDPA/EUL
· Good knowledge on Rooftop design and antenna separation analysis.
This also means good understanding of antenna propagation theory.
· Proficient use of Microsoft excel.
· Nominal cell plan
· Statistics analysis and initial tuning recommendations
· Initial tuning report
· Support Project Team to define Site Classification for Rollout and
provide regular expansion plan with all detailed information.
· Liaison with Central RND SPOC for alignment.
· Verify Site Survey report and discuss with Implementation Team for
rollout plan.
